THE FIVE PROGRAMS THAT COMPRISE THIS PROJECT ARE
1
Online Experience of Partner Universities
This is an opportunity for 3rd and 4th-year bachelor students to learn about partner universities through the introduction of the curriculum, campus, the experiences of the program’s alumni, and so on. Our aim for this activity is to eliminate psychological barriers against international exchange.
*Online Experience of Partner Universities will be held between the University of Tsukuba and all six partner universities respectively and mutually.
2
Double Degree Program (master’s students)
By obtaining a degree at the University of Tsukuba as well as at the partner universities, students can expand the possibilities for their careers and studies while gaining an international perspective.
*DDP is open between the University of Tsukuba and the University of Grenoble-Alpes, the University of Bordeaux, and the Ruhr-University Bochum (to be opened soon).
3
Study Course Abroad (master’s students)
Partner University’s students will come to the University of Tsukuba (or vice versa) for a short period (around 3 to 6 months) to attend lectures and/or experience an internship in a research laboratory (students can choose either or both), so that students can gain experience in studying and working in an international environment.
*Study Course Abroad will be conducted between the University of Tsukuba and all six partner universities respectively and mutually.
4
Joint Special Lectures
Faculty members of the University of Tsukuba and a partner university will jointly offer short-term intensive special lectures so that students can attend lectures in foreign styles. This will also enable students who plan to study at the University of Tsukuba to get familiar with the university’s lectures and vice versa.
*At present, Joint Special Lectures are scheduled between the University of Tsukuba and Grenoble-Alpes University.
5
Interdisciplinary Seminar
A seminar in which faculty members and students at the University of Tsukuba and a partner university give joint presentations and discuss the creation of new technologies in interdisciplinary fields
*Interdisciplinary Seminar is currently scheduled to be an exchange between the University of Tsukuba and the Grenoble-Alpes University.
