The University of Tsukuba is pleased to announce the Kick-Off Symposium for the Inter-University Exchange Project (EU), “International Cooperative Education Program with EU Universities for Interdisciplinary Fields of Nano-, Quantum-, Information-, and Bio-Technologies” on May 20th, 2025!

As part of the event, faculty members from our partner institutions—Université Grenoble Alpes, University of Bordeaux, Ruhr University Bochum, University of Bonn, KU Leuven, and Utrecht University—will join us to strengthen academic and educational cooperation for the program’s full-scale launch in 2025.

In addition to the symposium, a Pre-Event will be held, providing students a valuable opportunity to interact with faculty members from partner universities (Université Grenoble Alpes, University of Bordeaux, Ruhr-University Bochum, and KU Leuven).
We encourage students who are interested in studying abroad or engaging in international exchange to participate.

【Event Overview】

■ Date: Tuesday, May 20, 2025

• Pre-Event: 11:00–13:00 (Student Commons, Building 1A, Room 203 Student Commons – University of Tsukuba)
• Symposium: 15:00–18:30 (Central Library Conference Room Central Library – University of Tsukuba)

■ Target Audience: Program-related faculty, other university members, and students (mostly master’s students in the Graduate School of Science and Technology or the science field)

■ Language: English (some presentations will be delivered online)

• Keynote Lecture by Dr. Toshiyuki Takagi (Director, JSPS Strasbourg Office)
• Presentations by faculty members from partner universities
• Pre-Event featuring booths for casual interactions with visiting faculty members
